Kirrilli Heath Creative Makeup is a Perth based business run by Kirrilli doing the makeup and painty stuff and partner Justin who is a whiz at the technical and boffin-y side of things. (Justin doesn't know yet that I called him a boffin so don't tell, ok?)
Much of the makeup and painting is done by Kirrillli and when needed with the assistance of some other fabulous Perth makeup artists and face and body painters.
We can field a team of artists for your event who are also skilled and experienced not just at makeup and face painting but at working through a busy queue while maintaining a high quality of work.
We are open to all jobs, large and small, corporate and private and so whether you need one or more than one makeup artist, face painter or balloon twister please get in touch.
I have been painting faces since 2006, starting while studying Graphic Design and soon after deciding to do a Diploma of Makeup for Film, Theatre and TV (now called Diploma of Specialist Makeup Services) in 2007 to expand my knowledge and experience and have more fun with this fantastic job!
During and after my makeup training I spent time working at Maurice Meade (Perth Hair Salon) working in many of their Perth stores to cement my makeup skills. Though Face Painting and Body Painting are my passion, I enjoy extending these skills into the regular makeup and special effects arenas.
In the subsequent years I have continued to build my skills by doing many workshops with touring face and body artists from Australia and overseas (including personal heroes Jinny, the Wolfe Brothers, Mark Reid, Pashur House and Australia's own Lynne Jamieson and I'm very excited to have recently completed three master-classes with Jos Brands, the International Creative Director for Kryolan Professional Makeup (who was here in Perth in September) and I gained a lot from these, not just knowledge of techniques but a lot of inspiration too.
In 2015 I added airbrush makeup skills to my brushbelt, learning from the very talented and skilled Simone Cohen of Perth's SC Artistry and also fulfilled a long held dream of beginning a formal teaching career, gaining a position as a makeup trainer at Perth College of Beauty Therapy.
Current Working With Children Card and Public Liabilty Insurance ($20milion).
We use only professional face painting and makeup products. Our face paints are a quality, water-based makeup designed for use on skin, it dries to a powder soft finish and comes off with water or a baby wipe, some darker colours may need gentle soap or cleanser. If you need it to last a while for a costume party or performance, the makeup can be sealed with a setting product, still easy to remove when required though. Glitter is polyester cosmetic glitter designed for use in makeup and face painting. (Metallic craft glitter can scratch eyes and sometimes irritate skin, so please don't use this on skin or near eyes especially.) If you have any other questions don't hesitate to contact us. More information about products including tips for removal can be found here.
